There are a number of countries where students don't need to take an IELTS test to study abroad. In Germany, most universities do not ask for IELTS if the student has previously studied in English. Similarly, in Canada, universities can accept prior education in English, or else you may be exempted from IELTS if you pass other tests like Duolingo or TOEFL. In Malaysia, most universities come with undergraduate and postgraduate courses without requiring IELTS, among others, a test for alternative English tests.
